Getting Started

Your first 5 minutes with Simplony — set up your account and start tracking.

Welcome to Simplony — a personal finance dashboard built for busy professionals who want clarity over their money without the spreadsheet headache.

What Simplony does

Simplony helps you track where your money goes, plan how you want to spend, and see your financial picture at a glance. It's not a bank — it doesn't connect to your accounts. Instead, you log transactions as they happen (or ask the AI to do it for you).

First steps after signing up

  1. Pick your currency — this is used for display everywhere. No currency conversion happens.
  2. Choose your categories — select the expense and income categories that match your life. You can always add more later.
  3. Create balance accounts — these represent where your money lives (e.g. "Bank", "Cash", "Revolut"). If you only have one, transactions go there automatically.

Navigating the app

  • Desktop: the sidebar on the left shows all pages — Overview, Transactions, Budget, Groups, Reminders, Debts, Investments, and Accounts.
  • Mobile: the bottom bar shows the top 3 pages plus an AI button. Tap More for everything else.

The AI assistant

Tap the sparkle icon in the header to chat with Simplony's AI. You can type or use voice. It can add transactions, check your budget, look up spending, and more — all in natural language. Say things like "Spent 12 on coffee" or "What's my budget status?" and it handles the rest.

What's next?

Start by adding a few transactions to get data flowing. Then set up a budget for your biggest categories. Within a week you'll have a clear picture of your spending patterns.
